So I stumbled upon a tweet the other day:

But the last line stood out the most, "not everything needs to be a DAO, though."
As I've watched Web3, NFT, and DAOs evolve, I've seen a lot of good-intentioned experiments. Unfortunately, a lot of these experiments have shown a lack of historical context.
Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it takes me back to that sage advice, "those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."
It highlights the need to have cross-pollination between generations and disciplines.
Why?
Because DAOs existed before, just under different names. Which is why posts like below are encouraging:
